TWC approved my claim but ReliaCard going to wrong address - how long for correction?
Just got the good news today that my unemployment claim was approved! But I'm kinda panicking now because I called ReliaCard to confirm my card delivery details and found out they have my old address on file. I moved about 8 months ago and already updated my address with TWC (they confirmed the change on November 8, 2025). Does anyone know how long it typically takes for TWC to send the updated address info to ReliaCard? I'm worried about my card getting lost or stolen if it goes to my old place. Should I try calling TWC again or will ReliaCard eventually get the updated info?

Congrats on getting approved! Unfortunately, the address update from TWC to ReliaCard can take 7-10 business days to process. Since you updated on 11/8 and it's still not showing correctly, I'd recommend calling TWC directly to make sure the address change was properly processed in their system. Sometimes there's a disconnect between what TWC has on file and what gets sent to ReliaCard. Ask them specifically about updating your payment method details.

•Thank you!! That's longer than I expected. Do you know if I can just call ReliaCard directly to update my address with them instead of waiting for TWC? I'm worried about missing payments.

•Thanks for the tip about mail forwarding! I actually did that when I first moved but I think it might have expired by now. I'll check on that ASAP.

The TWC and ReliaCard systems don't sync automatically - it's a manual process that happens in batches. In my experience, it usually takes 5-7 business days, but can take up to 14 days depending on when your update falls in their processing cycle. If you're concerned, you can actually call ReliaCard directly at 855-282-6161 to update your address with them separately from TWC. You should still keep your TWC address updated too, but this will ensure your card gets to the right place faster.

BEWARE!!! This happened to me and my card got sent to my old address and my ex-roommate STOLE it and spent $430 before I could get it deactivated!!!! TWC was ZERO help getting my money back - said it was between me and ReliaCard. ReliaCard investigation took OVER A MONTH and I never got all my money back. Call ReliaCard IMMEDIATELY to cancel that card and request a new one to your current address!!!

If you're having trouble getting through to TWC to confirm your address update (which you definitely should do), I'd recommend trying Claimyr. I was in a similar situation with an address issue and spent days trying to get through the regular TWC phone line with no luck. Claimyr got me connected to a live TWC agent in about 20 minutes. They have a video showing how it works at https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh. Their website is claimyr.com if you want to check it out. Definitely saved me a ton of frustration.

•is that service legit? seems kinda sketchy to pay someone else just to talk to TWC...

It's completely legitimate. They don't handle any of your personal claim information - they just help you bypass the hold times to get connected directly to TWC. I was skeptical too but getting my address issue fixed quickly was worth it since I couldn't afford to miss payments.

I work in HR and deal with TWC stuff sometimes - here's a tip most people don't know: When you update your address with TWC, you have to specifically tell them to update it for BOTH your claim profile AND your payment method. They're actually two separate systems! Many agents only update the main profile unless you explicitly ask them to update both. When you call back, use these exact words: "Please update my address in both my claim profile and my payment delivery profile." That should fix it faster.

•That's really helpful information! I had no idea they were separate systems. I'll definitely use those exact words when I call. Thank you so much for the insider knowledge!

•YES!! They somehow managed to mix up my work search requirements THREE TIMES! Each agent told me something completely different. Their systems are stuck in 1995 I swear.

Update: I finally got everything sorted out! Called ReliaCard directly like several of you suggested and updated my address with them. They said they'd send out a new card to my current address and cancel the one that might be going to my old address. I also called TWC (took forever to get through) and made sure they updated both my claim profile AND payment delivery profile like @user6 suggested. The agent confirmed both were now showing my current address. Thanks everyone for all your help! Hopefully my card will arrive within 7-10 business days like they promised.

•Glad to hear you got it sorted out! One last tip: when your ReliaCard arrives, make sure to set up direct deposit to your bank account if possible. That way, even if there are any issues with the card in the future, your money can go straight to your bank account without delays.
