TWC Error: Online Claim Failed, Can't Reach Agent by Phone - Help Needed
I tried to file my unemployment claim online but got an error message telling me to call instead. Has anyone else had this problem? I've been trying to get through on the phone for days but can't reach an agent. It's so frustrating! Any advice on how to actually talk to a human?

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U

Wait, seriously? $20 just to talk to someone? That's insane. Is this even legit?

Sounds too good to be true. How does it work exactly?

I know it sounds crazy, but I was desperate and it actually worked for me. You pay, they call and wait on hold, then transfer you when a real person picks up. Saved me hours of frustration.

I used Claimyr too and had a positive experience, but the cost is a bit steep if used frequently.

Has anyone tried contacting their local representative? I've heard some people have had success getting help that way when they can't get through to EDD directly.

That's a good idea, I hadn't thought of that. Do you know how to find out who my local rep is?

You can usually find your rep by entering your address on your state government website. Worth a shot!

Involving a local representative can sometimes expedite things. They might have more influence!

I successfully used Claimyr to reach a live agent, and I can confirm it works as described. However, it's essential to weigh the cost against your urgency. If you absolutely need to get through and have the means, it might be worth it. But for those on a tight budget, it's crucial to consider other options first, such as persistently calling during low-traffic hours or trying alternate methods like faxing. It's also good to remember that Claimyr isn't affiliated with any government services, so while it's a legitimate tool, it's a third-party solution providing a workaround to a broken system.

Thanks for the balanced view. It's good to know both the pros and cons of using such a service.

Ugh, I feel your pain. The online system is a joke. I had the same issue last month and it took me over a week to finally get through on the phone. Keep trying early in the morning, that seemed to work best for me.

Morning calls definitely have better odds! It seems like a game of persistence.

Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone. I'll keep trying early mornings and maybe look into that calling service if I get really desperate. It's just so annoying that we have to jump through all these hoops!

OP, don't lose hope! Sometimes the solutions we least expect end up being effective.

I'm in the same boat as you, OP. It's so frustrating. I've been trying to file for weeks now and keep getting error messages. The whole system needs a major overhaul. Hang in there!

It does seem like the system could use an update, hopefully changes will come soon.

It's sad that so many are in this position. At least there's some solidarity in this struggle.

Have you tried using the callback feature on their website? I heard it works sometimes, but I haven't had any luck with it myself. ๐คทโโ๏ธ

I tried the callback feature too, but it feels like a lottery. Maybe theyโll improve it someday.

Pro tip: if u get thru to a real person, ask them for there direct extension. Sometimes theyll give it to u and u can bypass the whole phone tree next time ๐

Great tip! Having a direct extension can save so much time in future calls.

have you tried faxing your claim? i know it sounds old school but i heard from a friend that it can sometimes work when the online system is being glitchy

Faxing could be a creative workaround! Worth a try if nothing else works.

The whole system is broken. I've been trying to file a claim for THREE WEEKS now. It's ridiculous that we can't even get basic help when we need it most. ๐ก

I feel you. Itโs hard to believe this is the best system we have for such a critical need.

Here's what worked for me after weeks of trying: 1. Call right when they open (8:00 AM in my state) 2. If you get a busy signal, hang up and redial immediately 3. Keep doing this until you get into the queue 4. Once in the queue, DO NOT HANG UP no matter how long the wait 5. Have all your info ready when you finally get through It took me about 50 redials, but I finally got through and resolved my issue. Good luck!

This is actually solid advice. I did something similar and it worked after a few days of trying. Persistence is key!
