PA UC payment shows processing number - will Money Network card deposit arrive today at dawn?
Hey everyone, just got some movement on my UC claim this morning! They finally gave me a payment number after weeks of waiting (thank goodness). The system says they'll start processing on Monday, but I'm confused about when the actual money hits my Money Network card. Does anyone know if I'll receive the funds at dawn today since I already have a payment number? This is my first time using the Money Network card and I'm trying to plan when I can pay some urgent bills. Any insight would be super helpful!

Congrats on getting your payment number! But no, it definitely won't be deposited today at dawn. The payment number just means it's been authorized in the system. When they say 'processing Monday,' that means the actual transfer to your Money Network card usually takes 2-3 business days AFTER that. So realistically, you're looking at Wednesday or Thursday next week before you see the funds available.

•Ugh, that's what I was afraid of. Thanks for being straight with me. I've got a car payment due Tuesday that I was hoping to cover with this. Guess I'll need to call and ask for an extension.

The PA UC system is so misleading with these timelines! When they say 'processing' they actually mean 'we've decided to pay you but haven't sent the money yet.' The Money Network card usually takes 2-3 business days AFTER processing begins, and there's no set time like 'dawn' when deposits hit. Mine always comes randomly mid-afternoon. Don't count on money until you can actually see it in your account!!!

Have they started processing payments on weekend before? I'm really confused because my understanding was that nothing moves through their system on Saturdays or Sundays. Did they specifically tell you Monday or are you just assuming?

•The message in my UC portal specifically said 'Payment processing will begin Monday 4/7.' I thought getting a payment number today might mean it would deposit faster though.

If you're in a real bind waiting for your Money Network deposit, I had great luck using Claimyr to reach an actual PA UC agent when I had a similar issue with my payment timing. The rep was able to tell me exactly when my payment would hit and explain why there was a delay in my case. Saved me from bouncing my rent check! Check their video demo at https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 and website claimyr.com - so much better than waiting on hold for hours.

•Thanks for the tip! If the money doesn't show up by Tuesday I might need to try that. I hate calling UC because I never get through.

I can clarify the PA UC payment timeline with Money Network cards since I've been through this process multiple times: 1. Payment Number Assignment: This means your payment has been authorized but NOT processed yet 2. Processing Date (Monday in your case): This is when the funds actually begin moving from Treasury to Money Network 3. Deposit Timeline: Typically 2 business days after processing begins The Money Network card doesn't make deposits at specific times like 'dawn' - they batch process throughout the day. Most people see deposits appear between 8am-5pm on the day it's scheduled to arrive. One important note: The first payment to a new Money Network card can take 1 additional business day because they need to verify the account.

•mine always comes at night tho, like between midnight and 3am?? maybe it depends on ur bank or something

•Money Network processes in batches throughout the 24-hour cycle, which is why some people see deposits overnight while others see them during business hours. There's no way to predict which batch your payment will be in - it's not tied to your 'bank' since Money Network itself is the payment processor.

•Yeah I realize how that sounded now. I just thought maybe there was a specific time they released the funds to accounts.

Just wondering, did you check your Payment Issued Date in your Payment History section? That's different from the Processing Date and might give you a better idea of when to expect the deposit. Also make sure your Money Network card is activated properly - I made that mistake my first time!

•Just checked and all it shows is the Payment Number and under Status it says 'Processing begins 4/7/25' but no issue date yet. And yes, thankfully I did activate the card when I got it last week!

anyway if u need money faster next time u can set up direct deposit to ur regular bank account instead of the money network card, its usually 1 day faster in my experience

•Really? I didn't know that was an option! How do I switch to direct deposit for future payments?

•You can change to direct deposit in your UC portal under Payment Method. You'll need your bank account and routing number. Just be aware that making this change will apply to future payments only - any payment already in process will still go to the Money Network card.
