PA UC payment delay: Direct deposit changed to ReliaCard without my authorization?
Really frustrated right now! I filed my weekly PA UC claim on Sunday like always, but it's Thursday and I STILL haven't received my payment. I've been getting direct deposit for months without any issues (usually hits my account Tuesday morning), but when I checked my payment information today, it shows that my payment method was changed to the ReliaCard a few weeks ago?? I never authorized this change! I checked the ReliaCard balance and there's nothing there either. Has anyone else experienced this? Is the system just being slow this week, or did someone mess with my account? What's the fastest way to get this fixed? I've got bills due tomorrow and was counting on this money.

Same thing happened to me last month!! Suddenly my payment went missing and when I checked online it showed my payment method changed without me doing it. took me 3 days to finally get ahold of someone at UC. they said it was a "system glitch" that affected several accounts. have you tried calling them yet? good luck getting through tho lol

•OMG so it's not just me? I've been trying to call ALL morning and keep getting a busy signal. Did they fix it for you right away once you got through? I'm worried about how long this is going to take to resolve.

Check your dashboard messages. sometimes they send notices about payment method changes. could be identity theft too someone might have gotten into ur account

•Just checked - nothing in my messages about payment changes. Now I'm even more freaked out about possible identity theft! I'm going to change my PIN right away.

This is a known issue with the PA UC system that's happening more frequently in 2025. There are a few things you should do immediately: 1. Take screenshots of your payment history showing the unauthorized change 2. Call the UC service center (though it's difficult to get through) 3. File a ticket through your dashboard messaging system describing the issue 4. If you can't get through by phone in 48 hours, consider contacting your state representative's office In most cases, this is a system error rather than fraud. The payment is typically still being processed but is caught in limbo between payment methods. Once you reach someone, they can usually fix it within 1-2 business days and reissue the payment to your correct method.

•Thank you so much for this detailed info! I've taken screenshots and sent a message through the dashboard. Still no luck getting through on the phone though. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow afternoon, I'll try contacting my state rep.

I had this EXACT issue back in February! Took me 8 days to get my payment because they randomly switched me from direct deposit to ReliaCard. It was a NIGHTMARE trying to get through to anyone at the UC service center. Literally called 47 times one day (I actually counted) and kept getting busy signals or disconnected after waiting on hold. Finally, I used this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that got me through to a UC rep in about 20 minutes. They have this system that basically waits on hold for you and calls you when they get a human on the line. They have a demo video that explains it better than I can: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 Once I actually got to speak with someone, they fixed it right away and I had my money the next day. The rep told me they've been having periodic issues with their payment system auto-switching people without authorization. Apparently it's some software update gone wrong.

•Thank you! I'm going to try this Claimyr service right now. I've already called 20+ times today with no luck. At this point I'll try anything to get this fixed before my rent is due.

This is happening more frequently since the PA UC system upgrades in January 2025. What you're describing is specifically a payment method routing error. Here's what's happening behind the scenes: When you file your weekly certification, the system validates your eligibility and generates a payment. That payment gets routed through the payment method selection system. The bug occurs when the system incorrectly pulls your payment preference from cached data instead of your actual current selection. The good news is your payment has been approved and is in the system. It's just stuck in the wrong routing channel. When you reach a representative, ask them specifically to: 1. Check your payment status (it should show as "processed" but not delivered) 2. Verify your current payment method preference (should be direct deposit) 3. Request a payment trace and reissue to the correct method This specific issue requires manual intervention - changing your PIN or updating your payment method yourself will not fix it. You need a UC representative to manually release the payment from the system.

•This is incredibly helpful information - thank you! I used the Claimyr service mentioned above and finally got through to someone at UC. You were exactly right - they could see my payment was stuck in processing. They're reissuing it to my direct deposit and said I should have it by Monday. What a relief!

i had a similar problem but mine was because i answered something wrong on my weekly certification. are you sure you didnt accidentally say something that would trigger an issue with your claim? double check all your answers from sunday

•I went back and reviewed my certification and everything looks normal - same answers I always give. From what others are saying, it sounds like it's definitely the payment system glitch rather than a problem with my certification.

•Yes! Finally got it resolved. Had to speak to an actual person at UC who manually fixed the payment routing issue. They reissued the payment to my correct direct deposit account, and it should arrive Monday. Used the Claimyr service to get through on the phone after days of trying unsuccessfully on my own.
