PA UC ReliaCard payment deposit time inconsistency - normal or problem?

Hey everyone, I'm kinda confused about my ReliaCard payment schedule. Last week I got my first UC deposit and it hit my card around 2am Tuesday morning. I was expecting the same thing this week, so I checked first thing this morning (Tuesday) and nothing's there yet. Is this normal with PA ReliaCard deposits or should I be worried? Does the deposit time vary week to week or should it be consistent? I filed my weekly claim on Sunday both times, so nothing changed on my end. Really need this money for bills coming up on Friday. Getting a bit anxious about it...

ReliaCard deposits can definitely vary by a few hours or even a day sometimes. Mine usually comes in between 3-6am on Tuesdays, but occasionally it's been as late as Wednesday morning. As long as your claim status shows 'payment issued' when you check your claim status online, you should be fine. The banking system isn't always consistent.

Thanks, that makes me feel better! Where exactly do I check to see if payment was issued? I've been just logging into the ReliaCard site.

THE SYSTEM IS A COMPLETE JOKE!!! Mine never comes the same time two weeks in a row. Sometimes Tuesday, sometimes Wednesday, and once it didn't show up until THURSDAY with NO EXPLANATION!!! And good luck getting anyone on the phone to explain why. I've wasted HOURS trying to reach someone at UC about payment delays. They do this ON PURPOSE to make people suffer!!!

same i hate checking the balance every hour it drives me crazy lol

The PA Treasury actually processes UC payments in batches, and which batch your payment is in can change from week to week. You should check your claim status on the PA UC website (not the ReliaCard site) to see if it shows "payment issued." If it does, then it's just a matter of waiting for it to hit your card. Factors that can affect timing include: - What time you filed your weekly claim - Whether there were any flagged issues that needed review - Banking system processing times - Federal holidays If the UC site shows payment was issued, give it until tomorrow morning before worrying.

This is really helpful info! I just checked the UC site and it does show payment issued for this week. Guess I just need to be patient. Is there any way to see exactly when it was issued?

I've been on UC for about 4 months now, and I've noticed that the deposit time varies slightly each week. However, if there's a significant delay, it could indicate an issue. If you're concerned, you should try to contact PA UC directly to confirm everything is okay with your claim. I know it's nearly impossible to get through on the regular phone lines - I used to spend entire days redialing. I recently discovered a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helped me get through to an actual representative within 30 minutes instead of spending days trying to call. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2. It was definitely worth it for my peace of mind when I had payment issues last month.

Thanks for the suggestion! If my payment doesn't show up by tomorrow, I'll definitely look into that service. The thought of spending all day on hold makes me want to cry.

this happened to me last month! i was freakin out cuz my landlord was about to kick me out if i was late on rent again. turned out my payment was delayed cuz they randomly decided to review my work search activities that week. it showed up Wednesday afternoon instead of Tuesday morning. did u do anything different when filing ur weekly claim this time?

No, I didn't do anything different that I can remember. I said YES to being able and available to work, and I entered my work search activities like usual. Maybe they're reviewing mine too? That would explain it.

Just wanted to follow up - did your payment come through yet? Sometimes there are system-wide delays that affect everyone.

Yes! It finally showed up this morning (Wednesday) around 6am. Seems like it was just delayed by a day for some reason. Thanks for checking back!

I had the exact same issue last month and I actually went to the ReliaCard office in person to ask about it because I was so worried. The lady there laughed at me and said they hear this question all the time! She said the PA treasury system sends payments in batches, and which batch your payment goes into can change from week to week. It's totally normal to see variations in timing from week to week. Thought I'd share since I spent a whole day panicking over nothing!

wait theres a reliacard office u can go to in person?? where???

Sorry, I meant I went to the PA CareerLink office where they have UC representatives you can talk to. Not ReliaCard specifically. My bad for the confusion!

Glad to hear your payment came through! For future reference, here's what the normal process looks like: 1. You file your weekly claim (ideally Sunday) 2. PA UC processes claims (usually Monday) 3. Payment is issued to ReliaCard (typically Monday night/Tuesday morning) 4. ReliaCard processes the deposit (usually Tuesday but can take up to 2 business days) But as others have mentioned, this timing can vary based on multiple factors. If you ever see a delay of more than 2-3 days from when your payment was issued, that's when you should consider reaching out to UC directly.

Thanks for breaking it down! This is super helpful. I'll be more prepared for variations now that I understand the process better.

I've been dealing with ReliaCard for about 6 months now and I can confirm that the deposit timing is frustratingly inconsistent. I've tracked mine and it ranges anywhere from 1am Tuesday to 8am Wednesday. The key thing is to check your PA UC dashboard first - if it shows "payment issued" then you know it's just a matter of waiting for the banking system to process it. I've learned not to stress about it unless it's been more than 48 hours since the payment was issued. The uncertainty is definitely annoying when you're budgeting around specific dates though!

This is exactly what I needed to hear! I'm new to the UC system and was getting really anxious about the timing variations. It's reassuring to know that 48 hours from payment issued is the real benchmark to worry about, not just comparing to the previous week. I'll definitely start tracking mine too so I can get a better sense of the pattern. Thanks for sharing your experience!

This thread is so helpful! I'm also new to UC and ReliaCard, just started receiving payments last month. I was getting really stressed every Tuesday morning checking my balance obsessively. It's good to know that the timing variations are totally normal and not something to panic about. I'll definitely start checking the UC dashboard first to see if payment was issued before worrying about the deposit timing. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences - it really helps to know we're all dealing with the same uncertainties!

I'm so glad I found this thread! I just started getting UC payments two weeks ago and have been checking my ReliaCard balance like every 30 minutes on Tuesday mornings. Reading everyone's experiences here makes me feel so much better about the timing variations. I had no idea about checking the UC dashboard first - that's such a useful tip! It's really reassuring to know that other people go through the same anxiety and that it's completely normal for the deposits to vary. Thanks to everyone who shared their stories, especially those who explained the whole process step by step. This community has been a lifesaver for navigating all this confusing stuff!

I've been on UC for about 8 months now and can totally relate to the anxiety around deposit timing! What I've learned is that PA's system processes payments in waves, and your payment can end up in different waves from week to week depending on various factors. I actually started keeping a simple log of when my payments hit each week - it's helped me realize there's usually only a 12-24 hour window of variation, which isn't as scary as it feels in the moment. The most important thing is what others have said - check your UC dashboard to confirm "payment issued" status first. If that shows up, you're golden, just gotta wait for the banking side to catch up. The worst part is definitely that Tuesday morning anxiety when you're expecting it and it's not there yet!

That's such a smart idea to keep a log! I'm definitely going to start doing that. You're so right about that Tuesday morning anxiety - it's the worst feeling when you're expecting the deposit and it's just not there. I think what makes it scarier is that we depend on this money for our basic needs, so even a day's delay feels huge. But knowing it's usually just a 12-24 hour window really helps put it in perspective. Thanks for sharing your tracking method - having actual data instead of just feelings about the timing will probably help me stress less about the whole thing!

I've been dealing with ReliaCard deposits for about 3 months now and I've noticed they can be pretty unpredictable timing-wise. What really helped me was setting up text alerts through the ReliaCard app so I get notified as soon as the deposit hits instead of constantly checking my balance. That way I'm not sitting there refreshing the app every hour on Tuesday morning! The alerts usually come through within a few minutes of the actual deposit. It's saved me so much stress and anxiety. You can set it up in the app under notifications - just make sure to enable deposit alerts specifically.
