PA UC claim stuck after reporting second job separation - no payment for 3 weeks
I'm seriously stressing out here. I initially filed for unemployment after being laid off from my warehouse job in January. Everything was going fine and I was receiving payments for about 6 weeks. Then I got a part-time job at a restaurant, reported it properly on my weekly claims, but it didn't work out and I had to leave after just 2 weeks (manager was impossible to work with). I reported this second separation immediately on my next weekly certification, and now my claim has been stuck in review for 3 WEEKS with no payments! My dashboard just says 'under review' with no further explanation. Both employers have confirmed they submitted all requested info. My rent is due next week and I'm panicking. What can I do to get this moving? Has anyone dealt with multiple separations on the same claim?

Unfortunately this is pretty common when you have multiple separations on the same benefit year. The system automatically flags it for review because they need to determine if the second separation was through no fault of your own. Did you get any correspondence in your dashboard message center or email requesting additional information about why you left the restaurant job?

THEYR ALWAYS DOING THIS!! I had similar situation last yr, took FIVE WEEKS to get my $ back. The system is BROKEN. They don't care if u can't pay bills. Every time someone starts/stops job the compter just freezes evrything without telling u why.

have u checked ur spam folder? sometimes the UC emails go there. also did u quit or get fired from restaurant? bcause if u quit without good cause ur claim mite get denied

•Just checked spam again and nothing there. I wouldn't say I quit or was fired exactly... the manager kept scheduling me outside my available hours that I clearly stated when hired, then got mad when I couldn't show up. After the second time it happened he told me not to come back if I couldn't be "flexible."

Thank you all for the replies! To answer a few questions: Yes, I'm still filing my weekly claims even though nothing is being paid. I do have texts showing I reminded the manager of my availability after the first scheduling issue. I'll try to reach an agent using that Claimyr service tomorrow since calling on my own hasn't worked. I'm just worried they'll deny my claim because of the short time at the second job. Has anyone had a similar situation actually get resolved positively?

my brothe had this happen last summer n what they told him is that sepraton issues take prioreity based on how long u worked somewhre. since u were at restaurant only 2 weeks its not given high prioritty to review. he waited 5 weeks total b4 it was fixed. but MAKE SURE u keep filing every week!!!!!

Update after using Claimyr earlier today - I got through to an agent who was actually really helpful! She confirmed my claim is under review because of the second separation, but also found there was an "information request" that was never delivered to me due to a system error. She resent it and I completed it while on the phone with her. She said once that's processed, payments should resume within 7-10 days INCLUDING all my back weeks! So relieved to at least know what's happening now.

•Thats gREAT news!! This is exactly why the system is so broken - they expect u to respond to forms they never even sent you! Then punish YOU for not answering! Make sure u take screenshots of everything from now on, PA UC is notorious for "losing" information.

I wouldn't recommend contacting the restaurant manager directly at this point. Since you already have text messages documenting your availability conflicts, focus on those. Additional contact might just complicate things or even antagonize the employer. Let the UC process work now that you've completed the information request form. The texts you have should be sufficient evidence for your case.
