How to get a replacement PA UC debit card when you've lost all your account info?

Ugh I'm in such a mess right now with my PA unemployment. I lost my Money Network debit card somewhere in my apartment move last weekend (probably in one of the 20 boxes I still haven't unpacked). I need to access the funds ASAP for rent, but I also realized I don't remember my UC PIN or my account info to check my balance online. I can barely remember which email I used when I applied! 😩 Has anyone gone through this nightmare before? How do I get a replacement card without all this info? Is there a specific number I should call? Will they need to verify my identity all over again?

same thing happened to me in January lol just call the number on the back of the card... oh wait u dont have it 😂

Yeah that's kinda the whole problem 🙄 I don't have the card so I can't call the number ON the card...

You need to take a few steps here: 1. For your PIN reset, call the PA UC service center at 888-313-7284, but be prepared to wait a long time. They'll ask for your SSN and other verification info. 2. For the Money Network debit card replacement, call 888-233-5916. There's a $5 fee for replacement unless you report it stolen. 3. While waiting for the new card (can take 7-10 business days), you should try to recover your online access. Go to the PA UC website and use the "Forgot PIN" option. They'll send a verification to your email. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much! I'll try calling both those numbers tomorrow. Do you know if I can expedite the card delivery somehow? I'm really worried about making rent...

I went through this EXACT nightmare back in Februrary!!!! The UC phone system is IMPOSSIBLE to get through to!!!! I spent THREE DAYS trying to reach someone. Would get disconnected after waiting 2+ hours. Absolutely ridiclous how they treat us!!

If you're having trouble getting through on the PA UC phone lines, I'd recommend trying Claimyr (claimyr.com). They have a system that keeps calling and gets you through to an agent, usually within an hour or so. Saved me days of frustration when I had an issue with my account. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2

when i lost my card i just set up direct deposit to my checking account instead of dealing with replacement. you can do that online once you get your PIN reset. much easier than waiting for mail!

That's a great idea actually! I'd prefer direct deposit anyway. I'll definitely do that once I get my PIN situation figured out.

Just went through this last month! Here's what I learned: 1. For the PIN reset: If you can't remember which email you used, they can actually text a verification code to your phone if that's on file. Otherwise you'll need to verify identity by phone. 2. For the Money Network card: They CAN expedite delivery for an extra $15 fee (2-3 business days instead of 7-10). Worth it in your situation. 3. Verification: If it's been a while, they might make you go through ID.me verification again. Make sure you have your driver's license and social security card handy. Good luck!

Thank you!!! The expedited shipping is worth every penny right now. Did they ask a lot of questions to verify your identity on the phone? Trying to prepare myself for what info I'll need.

They asked for my SSN, date of birth, address, and some questions about my claim - like when I filed and previous employers. Have that info ready and you should be fine!

I used that Claimyr service mentioned above when I had my account locked and couldn't get through the regular way. It actually did work - got me connected to a real person in about 40 minutes instead of spending all day redialing. The agent was able to help reset everything and start the process for my new card. Just sharing because it saved me a ton of stress.

Did you have to give them your personal information? Seems sketchy to me.

@Sofia Peña No, Claimyr doesn t'ask for your personal UC info. They just dial the UC phone number repeatedly until they get through, then transfer the call to you. You still talk directly to the actual PA UC representatives - Claimyr just helps you skip the busy signals and long wait times. It s'legit and safe from what I can tell.

UPDATE: Finally got through today! Used the Claimyr service and it worked just like people said. Got connected to a rep after about 35 minutes. They helped me reset my PIN, and I ordered an expedited replacement card with the Money Network people. Also set up direct deposit for future payments. Thanks everyone for the help! What a relief.

Awesome to hear you got everything sorted out! The Claimyr service seems like a real lifesaver for dealing with those impossible PA UC phone lines. I'm definitely bookmarking that for future reference. Hope your new card arrives quickly and you can get your rent situation handled!

That's such great news @Levi Parker! I'm actually dealing with a similar issue right now - lost my card during a recent move too. Seeing your success story gives me hope that I can get through this mess. Definitely going to try that Claimyr service you mentioned since calling directly seems like such a nightmare. Thanks for posting the update!

Mei Wong

So glad I found this thread! I'm going through something similar right now - didn't lose my card but I completely forgot my PIN after not using it for a few months. The PA UC phone system has been a total nightmare to deal with. I've been trying to get through for over a week with no luck. Definitely going to try that Claimyr service everyone's mentioning. It's ridiculous that we have to use a third-party service just to reach our own unemployment office, but if it works, it works! Thanks for all the helpful info in this thread.

@Mei Wong I feel your pain! The PA UC phone system is absolutely broken - it s'crazy that we need third-party services just to access our own benefits. I was in the same boat a few months ago when I moved and couldn t'remember my PIN. The Claimyr service really does work though, saved me hours of frustration. Just make sure you have all your info ready SSN, (DOB, previous employers, etc. because) once you get through, the UC reps will want to verify everything before helping you reset your PIN. Good luck!
