Congrats on winning your appeal! "Reversed" definitely means you won - I went through this exact same thing about 4 months ago when my employer tried to claim I voluntarily quit after they restructured my department and offered me a completely different role with way less pay. It's such a relief when you finally get that decision letter! Since your account is already showing "Payable" status, you should see the money hit your card within 2-4 business days. Mine took exactly 3 business days after the status changed. One thing that helped me was setting up account alerts so I'd get notified immediately when deposits hit instead of constantly checking. After 3 months of waiting and stressing about bills, you're literally at the finish line now. That back pay is going to feel amazing when it finally comes through!
Thank you so much! It's incredible how many people have gone through almost identical situations with employers falsely claiming we quit. Setting up account alerts is such a smart idea - I've been driving myself crazy refreshing the page every few hours! I'm definitely going to do that right now. After all this stress and uncertainty, it's hard to believe I'm actually this close to getting paid. This whole experience has been such a learning curve about how the UC system works (and sometimes doesn't work). Really appreciate you taking the time to share your timeline - knowing it was exactly 3 days for you gives me something concrete to expect!
That's fantastic news about your account updating to "Payable" status! I went through this same situation about 5 months ago when my employer falsely claimed I quit after they eliminated my position. Once my status changed to "Payable," it took exactly 4 business days for the money to hit my ReliaCard. Since you've been filing weekly claims throughout the entire 3-month process, that back pay is going to be substantial - and well-deserved after all the stress you've been through! One thing I learned is to check your account early in the morning (like 6-7am) because UC payments often process overnight. You're literally days away from getting that relief. Congratulations on persevering through such a difficult process!
Thank you for sharing your experience and timeline! It's so helpful to hear from someone who went through the exact same thing. I never thought to check early in the morning - that's a great tip about payments processing overnight! After 3 months of this nightmare, I'm honestly still in disbelief that I'm finally this close to getting paid. The stress of having bills pile up while waiting for the appeal was just incredible. Knowing it took exactly 4 days for you gives me a concrete timeline to expect. I'm definitely going to start checking at 6am instead of obsessively refreshing throughout the day!
After using Claimyr to reach a UC representative yesterday, I found out what happened. They had sent a hearing notice scheduling a phone hearing, but it was sent to my old address despite my updated contact information being in the system. The representative helped me file for a new hearing based on lack of proper notification. The decision status has been reset to 'pending' now, and I should receive proper notification for the rescheduled hearing within 2 weeks. Thank you everyone for your help and suggestions!
Wait, I'm confused - I think there might be some mixed up information here. The update about using Claimyr and getting the hearing rescheduled was posted by Hiroshi Nakamura, but the original post asking for help was from GamerGirl99. Did GamerGirl99 get her issue resolved too, or is this someone else's experience? Just want to make sure we're tracking the right person's situation since this is such an important issue!
Good catch! I noticed that mix-up too. It looks like Hiroshi was sharing his own similar experience to help GamerGirl99, but it's confusing because he posted it as if it was an update to her situation. @GamerGirl99 - are you still waiting to call about your case, or did you also get through and get it resolved? Would be helpful to know if you're still needing to make that call or if you've had any updates on your end!
Thank you everyone for the advice! I'm going to appeal to the Board of Review within the 15-day window and gather all my documentation about the transportation issues. I'll also prepare myself for having to repay just in case the appeal doesn't work out. If anyone has gone through the Board of Review appeal process and has specific tips, I'd really appreciate hearing them.
Good plan. For the Board of Review appeal, write a clear statement explaining why you believe the referee's decision was incorrect. Reference specific evidence from your hearing and cite any new evidence you're submitting. Be concise but thorough. And remember, you can still request a payment plan even while appealing. Best of luck!
I went through a Board of Review appeal last year and wanted to share some tips that helped me. Make sure your written statement is organized - I used headings like "Facts" and "Legal Arguments" to make it easy to follow. Include copies of ALL your documentation with your appeal, even if you submitted some at the referee hearing. The Board doesn't always have access to everything from the lower level. One thing that really helped my case was showing a pattern of good attendance before the issues started, and demonstrating concrete steps I took to fix the transportation problems. If you have any emails or texts with your employer about the tardiness or your efforts to resolve it, definitely include those. The whole process took about 6-8 weeks for me to get a decision. Even though it's stressful, the Board really does look at cases with fresh eyes. My referee decision got overturned because they found my employer didn't follow their progressive discipline policy properly. Keep your hopes up but prepare for both outcomes!
This is really helpful advice! I'm definitely going to organize my appeal statement with clear headings like you suggested. I do have some text messages with my supervisor about the bus route changes and a few emails where I notified HR about the transportation issues. I also kept records of my attendance from the previous year which was pretty good. Did you submit your appeal by mail or was there an online option? I want to make sure I get it submitted properly within the 15-day deadline.
This is y i always transfer my UC money to my regular bank account as soon as it hits the card. dont trust these government cards AT ALL
Glad you got it sorted out! For future reference, PA UC also has a text alert system you can sign up for that will notify you about system outages and maintenance. You can enable it in your UC dashboard under notification preferences. Would have saved you (and all of us) a lot of stress! Also seconding the automatic transfer suggestion - I've been doing that for months and it's been a lifesaver.
This is super helpful - I had no idea about the text alert system! Just signed up for it. Definitely would have prevented the panic yesterday. And yes, setting up the automatic transfer is next on my list. Thanks for all the tips everyone, this community is amazing for sharing these kinds of solutions!

Hey there! I actually just went through this exact same process about 6 weeks ago. Won my appeal after they initially denied me for "job abandonment" when I had to leave due to unsafe working conditions. Here's what happened with my timeline: After winning the appeal, it took exactly 6 business days for the money to hit my Money Network card. BUT - and this is important - I had to call them to get the backdated claims processed first. Without those backdated claims, you won't see any of that $4,200. I used a trick I learned here - call exactly at 8:00am when they open, have your SSN and PIN ready, and be prepared to wait on hold for 30-45 minutes. Tuesday mornings seemed to work best for me. Once I got through, the agent was actually really helpful and got all my missed weeks processed in about 10 minutes. One heads up - they paid me in two separate deposits. The first was for the most recent 4 weeks, then 2 days later I got the rest. Don't panic if you don't see the full amount at first! Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes!

•This is super helpful, thank you! 6 business days isn't too bad, and I really appreciate the calling tip about 8am on Tuesday mornings. I've been trying at random times with no luck. The two separate deposits thing is good to know too - I probably would have panicked if I only saw partial payment at first. Did you have to provide any additional documentation when you called, or was it pretty straightforward once you got through to an agent?

Congrats on winning your appeal! That's such a relief after 7 weeks of fighting the system. I went through something similar last year - also got denied initially for "voluntary quit" even though my employer made my position impossible to maintain. From what I've seen here and experienced myself, you definitely need to get those backdated claims filed ASAP or you'll lose that money. The timeline for payment seems to vary a lot - I've seen people report anywhere from 4 days to 3 weeks depending on if there are any other issues in the system. One thing that helped me was checking my online account daily after the appeal win. Sometimes they'll flag additional issues that need to be resolved before they release payments, and the notifications don't always work properly. Also make sure your direct deposit info or Money Network card details are all current. Hope you get that $4,200 soon - being behind on rent while waiting for UC is so stressful. Keep us posted on your timeline once things start moving!
