Thanks for sharing your timeline! This helps me have realistic expectations. I'll watch my mail carefully - good point about it looking like junk mail with no UC markings.
I just went through this exact situation last month! My payment date showed 12/15/2024 and I was checking my mailbox obsessively every day. The card finally arrived on 12/27 - so about 12 calendar days later. What really helped ease my anxiety was knowing that once the payment date appears in your UC dashboard, the money is essentially "set aside" for you. Even if the card gets lost in the mail or delayed, those funds won't disappear. When I called PA UC (took forever to get through), they confirmed that all payments from your claim start date will be loaded onto the card when it arrives. The waiting is definitely nerve-wracking, especially with bills due, but try to hang in there. Your money is secure! And like others mentioned, keep an eye out for that plain white envelope - I almost threw mine away thinking it was a credit card offer.
This is so reassuring to hear! I've been checking my mailbox like a maniac since seeing my payment date, so knowing that 12 days is pretty normal helps calm my nerves. The fact that you confirmed with PA UC that the funds are "set aside" is exactly what I needed to hear - I was worried the money would somehow vanish if the card got lost. Thanks for sharing your timeline and for the reminder about the plain envelope. I'll definitely be more careful not to toss anything that looks like junk mail!
I'm having the exact same problem! Just got my benefits deposited this morning and the app is completely unusable - just keeps spinning and kicking me back to login. I was panicking because I really need to access my funds today. Reading through all these comments has been so helpful though! I tried the website at moneynetwork.com in incognito mode with mobile data like some of you suggested and it worked perfectly. Was able to check my balance and lock my card right away. This is my second week on UC and I had no idea about the direct deposit option - definitely going to set that up today so I don't have to deal with this Money Network app mess anymore. Thanks everyone for sharing your workarounds, you've saved me hours of frustration!
So glad the website workaround helped you too! I've been following this thread since yesterday because I was dealing with the same login loop nightmare. It's crazy how many people are having this exact issue right now. The incognito mode + mobile data combo seems to be the most reliable fix while they sort out whatever's wrong with their app. And yes, definitely set up that direct deposit ASAP! I wish I had known about it when I first started claiming - would have saved me so much stress with these Money Network glitches. The whole process through the PA UC dashboard is pretty straightforward, just make sure you have your bank routing and account numbers handy. Hang in there - at least you can access your funds now!
Just went through this same nightmare! The login loop issue hit me yesterday right after my benefits deposited. What finally worked was using the website (moneynetwork.com) in incognito mode with mobile data instead of WiFi - seems like there's some conflict with their security and certain networks. I was able to lock my card and check my balance immediately. Also used the automated phone system at 888-320-8913 to double-check my card was secure without waiting on hold forever. This whole experience convinced me to finally set up direct deposit through my PA UC dashboard - took like 5 minutes and should save me from dealing with these Money Network app crashes in the future. Hang in there everyone, the workarounds definitely help while they fix this mess!
I'm so sorry you're dealing with this! I'm relatively new to gig work myself and this whole thread has been a wake-up call about what to expect with PA UC. I just started doing some Grubhub deliveries last week while job searching and made about $45 - now I'm nervous about reporting it and potentially triggering the same review process everyone's describing. It's incredibly frustrating that the system seems to punish people for trying to be proactive and earn some income while actively looking for full-time work. Based on all the advice shared here, I'm planning to upload screenshots of my earnings proactively and document that I only worked about 3 hours total. I've also been keeping detailed records of my job applications (submitted 7 this week) just in case they need proof I'm still actively searching. The "earnings verification interview" tip seems to be the key - I'll definitely use that specific phrase if my benefits get held up. Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences, especially Grace for the successful resolution update! It really helps to know there's a path through this bureaucratic maze.
Smart move documenting everything proactively! I wish I had known about all these potential issues before I started gig work. Your $45 week might actually be small enough to avoid the automatic review trigger - seems like most people here had issues when they hit $60+ in earnings. But definitely keep those job application records handy just in case. One thing I learned from reading everyone's experiences is that they really want to see you're still "available" for full-time work, so documenting those 3 total hours should help show you're not treating gig work as your primary focus. The fact that you applied to 7 jobs this week while only working 3 hours of deliveries is exactly the kind of pattern they want to see. Hopefully your claim goes through smoothly, but if not, you're way more prepared than most of us were thanks to all the great advice shared in this thread!
This thread has been incredibly helpful! I'm dealing with a similar situation right now with my Spark Driver earnings. Made $63 last week doing grocery deliveries and reported it honestly on my weekly claim. Now I'm on day 5 of "pending review" and starting to panic about my upcoming bills. What's especially frustrating is that I only worked about 4 hours total - just enough to cover gas money while I continue my job search. I've submitted 6 applications this week and have two interviews lined up next week, but apparently none of that matters until they finish their mysterious review process. Reading everyone's success stories with requesting the "earnings verification interview" has given me hope though! I'm definitely calling tomorrow morning and using that exact phrase. Thanks to Grace for sharing the resolution update and to everyone else for all the practical advice about uploading documentation and keeping detailed records. It's ridiculous that we have to become experts in their bureaucratic processes just to get benefits we're entitled to, but at least now I know there's a path through this mess!
I'm so glad this thread exists! I'm completely new to both gig work and dealing with PA UC, but I'm about to start doing some delivery work while job hunting and your experience (and everyone else's) is really valuable. $63 for 4 hours of work seems totally reasonable as supplemental income while actively job searching - the fact that they're holding up your benefits for almost a week over that is just insane. It sounds like you're doing everything right by keeping your gig hours low and staying active with job applications. Based on all the success stories here, that "earnings verification interview" really does seem to be the magic solution. I'm going to bookmark this thread for reference in case I run into the same issues when I start working. Hope you get through to someone helpful tomorrow and get this resolved quickly! Keep us posted on how it goes.
UPDATE: Just called PA CareerLink (not UC). They said they're experiencing a database sync issue that's causing search results to disappear. Should be fixed within 48 hours. The rep confirmed that if you document your work search activities through other methods during this time, it won't affect your UC benefits eligibility. Just keep detailed records of what you do and be prepared to explain if questioned.
Sure, "48 hours" 🙄 I bet it'll be a week minimum. And watch them not announce it anywhere officially so people keep panicking.
Thank you so much for calling and letting us know! I'll just use Indeed and LinkedIn until it's fixed and keep screenshots of everything. This group has been SO helpful!
I've been dealing with this same issue since Monday! What's really frustrating is that PA CareerLink doesn't even have a status page or announcement about the outage - you'd think they'd at least post something on their homepage. I've been using Indeed and ZipRecruiter instead and keeping detailed logs with timestamps, company names, and job titles. One tip: if you're documenting work search activities outside of CareerLink, make sure to note the METHOD you used (direct application, email, online portal, etc.) since that's what they sometimes ask for during audits. Also screenshot or save the job posting URLs if possible - I learned this the hard way during my last claim period.
This is such great advice! I never thought about saving the job posting URLs - that's really smart. Do you know if there's a specific format they prefer for the documentation, or is a simple spreadsheet with dates/companies/positions enough? I'm new to all this and want to make sure I'm doing it right from the start.
@Isabella Costa A simple spreadsheet works perfectly! I just use columns for Date, Company Name, Position Title, Method like (Applied "via company website ,")and Website/Source. Sometimes I add a Notes column for things like submitted "resume and cover letter or" created "account on their portal. The" UC folks aren t'picky about format - they just want to see you made genuine efforts to find work. Keep it simple but detailed enough that you could recreate your steps if asked. You re'being smart to get organized from day one!

UPDATE: I managed to get through to PA UC this morning after trying that Claimyr service! The rep confirmed my employment history was actually there in the system but wasn't properly linked to my new claim. She fixed it on the spot and said my payments should process within 2-3 business days. She also confirmed I should keep filing weekly claims while waiting. Such a relief! Thanks everyone for your help!

•EXACTLY what happened to me!! So glad you got it resolved! The system is so broken that it takes a human to do something that should be automatic!

Great to see this got resolved! For anyone else dealing with the same "no employment history" issue after BYE date, here's what I learned from my experience: 1. The system glitch is SUPER common - your employment data is usually there but not properly linked 2. You absolutely need to talk to a human rep to fix it 3. Keep filing weekly claims no matter what while you wait 4. Have your W-2s and pay stubs ready when you call, even though they probably won't need them I waited 4 weeks thinking it would auto-resolve and it never did. Got through on my first try using that callback service someone mentioned and the rep literally fixed it in under 10 minutes. Don't make my mistake of waiting too long to call!

•This is so helpful! I'm dealing with this exact same issue right now - just hit my BYE date last week and got the "no employment history" flag even though I worked all of 2024. It's reassuring to know that the data is probably already in their system and just needs to be linked properly. I've been hesitant to use a callback service but after reading all these success stories I think I need to bite the bullet. Did you have to pay anything for the service or was it free?
