Falsely accused of quitting job - Unemployment benefits stopped, need to earn $4,790 before benefits resume - fighting determination with proof I called in

Got a determination letter saying I quit without cause and they're stopping my unemployment benefits. I've been collecting for 2 months with no problem until now. According to the "NOTICE OF DETERMINATION" I received, "NO UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE BENEFITS WILL BE PAID TO YOU FOR THE PERIOD BEGINNING 12/19/2023 UNTIL YOU HAVE SUBSEQUENTLY WORKED FOR AN EMPLOYER AND EARNED AT LEAST 10 TIMES YOUR WEEKLY BENEFIT RATE. EMPLOYMENT AND EARNINGS FROM NON COVERED, EXCLUDED OR SELF-EMPLOYMENT WILL NOT COUNT. YOUR WEEKLY BENEFIT RATE IS $479." The letter states "YOU ARE DISQUALIFIED UNDER SECTION 593.1 OF THE UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE LAW BECAUSE YOU QUIT YOUR JOB WITHOUT GOOD CAUSE." Under the "REASON" section, it says "ALTHOUGH YOU INDICATED THAT YOU WERE FIRED, YOUR SEPARATION IS CONSIDERED VOLUNTARY. YOU DID NOT CALL OR REPORT FOR WORK WITH COBBS HILL MANOR ON 12/15/23, 12/16/23, AND 12/17/23. YOU HAVE NOT DISCLOSED ANY COMPELLING REASON FOR QUITTING YOUR JOB." But here's the thing - I wasn't even scheduled to work on the 15th! And I definitely called my supervisor on the 16th about missing the 16th and 17th (I have phone records to prove it). They're claiming I quit, but that's absolutely not true. I never quit - they're twisting the facts. They want me to earn 10 times my weekly benefit rate ($479) before I can receive benefits again. I've already requested a hearing to fight this. Does anyone know how long it typically takes until I get a hearing date? This is really stressful since I was depending on that unemployment money.

Omg dealing with the same thing rn. My employer said I abandoned my job when I literally gave 2 weeks notice. These companies will say anything to avoid paying unemployment 🙄

Hey I found a way to actually get someone on the phone at unemployment using claimyr.com - it costs $20 but totally worth it. They call and wait on hold then connect you to an agent. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Hearings usually take 4-6 weeks to get scheduled. Make sure you have all your evidence ready - phone records, texts, schedule screenshots, everything. They'll mail you the hearing info and its usually over the phone. The judge will hear both sides. Be professional and stick to facts 💯

IMPORTANT: Start gathering every piece of documentation NOW. Your work schedule, any texts/emails with supervisor, phone records, everything. Write down a timeline of events while its fresh in your mind. During the hearing, stay calm and professional no matter what your employer says.

This exact thing happened to me! The key is having proof you communicated with your supervisor. Show the phone records, any texts or emails. If you have your old schedule showing you weren't scheduled for the 15th that's golden. I won my hearing after 5 weeks of waiting. If you need help getting through to someone while you wait, try claimyr.com - worked for me when I needed answers fast.
