New York Unemployment denied my claim - can I reapply or appeal?
Applied for unemployment back in July and been claiming every week since then. Just found out today my claim was denied. Not sure what to do next. Anyone know if I can apply again or what my options are? Really need help figuring this out.

dont give up! You have 30 days to appeal the denial. Go to ur account and look for the appeal section. Make sure you have all your employment docs ready cause theyll ask for them. Also write down exactly why you think the denial was wrong

I was in the same boat last month. Couldn't get anyone on the phone forever then found this site claimyr.com that calls and waits on hold for you. Cost $20 but totally worth it cause I finally got someone who explained everything. Here's a video about how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Here's what you need to know about NY unemployment denials and appeals (I used to work in HR): First, check why you were denied. Common reasons: - Not enough work history - Quit without good cause - Missing wages - Incorrect info on application You have 30 days to appeal from denial date. Gather ALL documentation: - Pay stubs - W2s - Termination letter - Any communication with employer File appeal online or by mail. Be specific and factual. While waiting, try reaching claims specialist using claimyr.com - they can often explain denial reason better than generic notice. Keep claiming weekly even during appeal! If you win, you'll get backdated payments. LMK if you need more specific help 💯

Hey! I went through this exact same thing a few months ago. First thing - don't panic! You definitely have options. Like others said, you have 30 days to appeal from the denial date, so check that date ASAP. Before you appeal though, try to figure out exactly WHY they denied you. Log into your account and look for the determination letter - it should spell out the specific reason. Sometimes it's something simple like missing wage info that you can easily fix. Pro tip: if you can't get through on the phone (and let's be real, who can?), try calling right at 8am when they open or use one of those callback services people mentioned. Also keep certifying weekly even during the appeal process! What industry were you working in? Sometimes there are specific rules that apply. Happy to help troubleshoot if you want to share more details about your situation 👍
