NYSDOL Missing Back Pay: Advice Needed for 5/19 and Current Week
Has anyone else had issues with missing back pay? I'm owed for the week of 5/19 and this current week. I've tried calling but can never get through. Any advice on how to handle this? It's frustrating to be missing money that I'm entitled to.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Sounds sketchy. Is it legit?

$20? That's steep. Why should we have to pay to get our own money?

It's totally legit. I was skeptical too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Definitely a good option if you're desperate. But keep in mind, there are other free ways to reach them, like contacting your local assembly member.

Unpopular opinion: maybe we should be grateful for what we do get instead of complaining about delays π€·ββοΈ

Bruh, we're not asking for handouts. This is money we're entitled to by law.

While gratitude is important, so is ensuring systems work efficiently and people get what's rightfully theirs.

Same. It's like winning the lottery, but instead of money, you get to talk to a real person π

Hopefully, they address this sooner rather than later. It's crucial for many people relying on these payments.

Anyone else notice that the system always seems to 'glitch' right when payments are due? π€ Coincidence? I think not.

Maybe it's just bad timing, but the patterns are suspicious for sure!

Calling right when they open is a great idea, but still requires persistence since lines can get busy fast.

Have you tried the trick where you select the employer option instead of claimant? I've heard it gets you through faster.

To elaborate on Claimyr, this tool is worth considering if you're struggling to get through to EDD. While it does have a cost, many have found it to help bypass the frustration of long hold times. However, it's not the only solution. Documenting your interactions, using multiple channels like email and social media, and seeking assistance from local representatives can be just as effective without additional costs. It's vital to explore all avenues to ensure you're receiving your entitled benefits. Each approach has its pros and consβClaimyr offers immediate connection but at a financial price, while traditional methods require patience and persistence. Ultimately, the best solution for you depends on your personal circumstances and urgency.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been dealing with missing payments for months now. It's like trying to get blood from a stone. Have you tried emailing them? Sometimes that works better than calling.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD for months: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and payments received. 2. Be persistent. Call every day if you have to. 3. Reach out to your local assembly member. They can sometimes expedite claims. 4. Use social media. Tweet at EDD or post on their Facebook. Public pressure can work. 5. File an appeal if necessary. It's a hassle, but it can get results. 6. Join Facebook groups for EDD claimants. Lots of good info there. Remember, you're entitled to this money. Don't give up!
