NYDOL: Can't reach a rep to complete unemployment claim. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm trying to complete my unemployment claim with NYDOL and I'm having trouble getting through to a rep. Has anyone else had this issue? Any tips on how to actually talk to someone?

Ugh, welcome to the club. š I've been trying for weeks to get someone on the phone. It's like they're purposely making it impossible!

ā¢Weeks? Try months! š I swear, it's easier to win the lottery than to get through to NYDOL.

ā¢I heard early morning is best, like right when they open. But honestly, who knows at this point? š¤·āāļø

I actually found a way to get through! There's this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

ā¢20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda sketchy. How do we know it's legit?

ā¢I get the skepticism, but it really did work for me. After weeks of trying, I was desperate enough to give it a shot. Totally worth it imo.

Pro tip: try calling your local state representative's office. They sometimes have direct lines to NYDOL and can help push your claim through.

Has anyone else noticed that the NYDOL website is always "under maintenance" when you need it most? š¤ I swear they're doing it on purpose to avoid dealing with us.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with NYDOL for the past few months: ⢠Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. ⢠Document everything. Keep a log of when you call, who you speak to, and what they say. ⢠Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important emails end up there. ⢠Use the online system as much as possible for updates and weekly certifications. ⢠If you do get through, ask for a direct number or extension for follow-ups. ⢠Consider reaching out to your local Department of Labor office instead of the main line. ⢠Join Facebook groups or forums for NY unemployment. Sometimes people share insider tips. ⢠Be prepared with all your information before you call. Have your SSN, claim ID, and employment history ready. Hope this helps someone. We're all in this together! šŖ

Anyone else feel like they're trapped in a kafka-esque nightmare dealing with NYDOL? 𤔠It's like, press 1 to be ignored, press 2 to be transferred to oblivion, press 3 to scream into the void...

Hey OP, have you tried reaching out on Twitter? Sometimes publicly @ing them can get their attention. Worth a shot if you're desperate!
