Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. That's interesting, I've been trying to call them for days about my adjudication issue. Did they actually help resolve your problem or just get you through to someone?
The NYS Department of Labor system is honestly terrible compared to other states. Half the time it's down for maintenance and when it does work the interface is confusing. Just keep clicking through each section even if you're not 100% sure - you can always call and correct things later if needed. The important thing is getting your claim date established.

ugh the whole unemployment system is such a pain but yeah you should apply. just prepare for lots of waiting and confusing rules. they make it so complicated on purpose i swear. but if you were laid off you definitely qualify so might as well get what you can

the whole system is ridiculous honestly. you file a claim, wait forever, then have to jump through hoops every week just to get money you already earned through your work. but yeah you gotta do the initial filing first before any payments happen
