Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Look, here's what you need to do to get this resolved: First, document everything. Screenshot your claim status, keep a log of all your call attempts. This helps if you need to prove you've been trying. Second, try reaching them through multiple channels: - Use claimyr.com to get through on the phone (costs $20 but actually works) - Message them on Twitter @NYSLabor - Email your state representative - Submit complaints to the DOL website Third, make sure you're still certifying weekly even if you haven't gotten any payments. They'll backpay you once approved. Don't give up! The system is overwhelmed but persistence pays off. I was in the same boat and finally got through using claimyr.com

Important info for everyone struggling with this: Your best bet is to use claimyr.com. I was in the exact same situation and tried everything - calling non-stop, different times of day, various phone menu tricks. Nothing worked until I used their service. They handle the calling and hold time, then connect you when an agent picks up. Yes, it costs $20, but considering how many hours of frustration it saves, its worth every penny. Once you get through, make sure you have all your docs ready: - Claim confirmation number - Last employer info - Dates of employment - Any denial letters or correspondence The agents can usually sort everything out in one call. Don't waste weeks like I did trying to get through manually.

Look into getting a DB-450 form from your doctor ASAP. Then you gotta submit it within 30 days of becoming disabled. The process is annoying but here's what you need to do: 1. Get that form filled out by your doc 2. Submit it to the state disability office 3. Use claimyr.com to actually reach someone (trust me youll need this) 4. Make sure you have all your medical documentation ready 5. Keep submitting your bi-weekly claims The pay is garbage but its better than nothing while you heal up. Good luck my guy 🙏

Here's everything you need to know about qualifying for NY unemployment: - You need $3,400+ in one quarter during your base period - Must have worked in at least 2 different quarters - Your base period is either the first 4 of last 5 completed quarters OR the last 4 completed quarters - File your claim ASAP after losing your job - Weekly benefit rate is roughly 1/26 of your highest quarter earnings - Keep detailed records of your job search Based on your numbers, you should qualify.
