If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I had trouble getting through to NYS Department of Labor when I needed to check on my claim status after filing. Kept getting busy signals and hung up on. Eventually found this service called Claimyr at claimyr.com that helps you get through to an actual agent. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI showing how it works. Saved me hours of calling.

That's good to know for later if I run into issues. Hopefully the online filing goes smoothly for now.

Just to add - make sure you have your last employer's exact business name and address when you file. NYS Department of Labor is really picky about that stuff and if you get it wrong it can delay your claim processing.

FRICTION UNEMPLOYMENT?? They just make up new terms to confuse us! I swear NYS Department of Labor creates these categories just to make it harder to get benefits. Been dealing with their BS for months and every agent tells me something different.

Actually friction unemployment is a standard economic concept that's been around for decades, not something NYS Department of Labor invented. It just means short-term unemployment during job transitions.

omg yes!! this gives me hope because I'm in almost the exact same situation - had to quit my old job for a family emergency and found new work pretty quickly but needed UI for those few weeks in between

Just to add some practical info - when you do file, make sure you have your Social Security number, driver's license, and employment history for the last 18 months ready. Having all that info organized will make the filing process much faster. And remember you'll need to file weekly claims every week after your initial application to keep getting benefits.

This whole timing thing stressed me out so much when I got laid off! I filed on a Thursday and spent the whole weekend worrying I should have waited until Monday or something. Turns out it doesn't matter what day of the week you file, just that you file as soon as you can. NYS Department of Labor processes everything and your benefit week will start from the appropriate Sunday regardless.

Thanks, that makes me feel better. I was worried about filing today since it's mid-week.

The NYS Department of Labor system has been BROKEN for years! They don't have enough staff, their computer system is from the stone age, and they act like it's OUR fault when claims get stuck. This isn't about economic patterns, it's about bureaucratic incompetence!!

You're not wrong about the system being outdated. But getting angry doesn't solve the immediate problem of getting claims processed.

For your specific adjudication issue - sometimes these get stuck when there's a discrepancy in your work history or if a previous employer disputed something. The 3-week timeframe suggests it might be more complex than a simple verification. You should try calling early morning (right at 8am) for better chances of getting through, or use the callback feature if it's available in your area.

I've tried calling at 8am multiple times and either get busy signal or get disconnected after being on hold. There's no callback feature in my area that I can find.

Are you sure you completed your weekly certification? Even while your claim is pending you need to keep filing your weekly claims or you'll lose those weeks. Also make sure you're doing your job search activities because they can hold up payment if you're not meeting the requirements.

0 coins

Yes I've been doing the weekly claims religiously. What are the job search requirements exactly? I've been applying to jobs but maybe not documenting it right?

0 coins

You need 3 job search activities per week and keep a log of them. Can be applications, interviews, networking events, etc. NYS Department of Labor can audit this anytime so keep good records.

The whole NYS Department of Labor system is a JOKE. They make it as hard as possible to get benefits you've already paid into. I've been waiting 6 weeks for my adjudication to resolve and still nothing. Meanwhile bills keep coming and they don't care.

I feel this so hard. The system is designed to frustrate people into giving up.
