WV Tax Refund Delays 2024: CTC & EITC Status Check
Anyone from West Virginia still waiting on their refund? I claimed both CTC and EITC and haven't seen anything hit my account yet. Starting to get worried since bills are piling up. Wondering if its just me or if other WV folks are in the same situation.

The delay is expected if you claimed both CTC and EITC. By law, the IRS cant release these refunds before mid-February. They do additional verification to prevent fraud. Most people should see their refunds by early March if there are no other issues with their return.

At this point, you might want to check your transcript for any hold codes or verify if your return is still being processed.
