Transcript freeze after sending SSA-1099 - how long for IRS to process?
Filed taxes for elderly parent and got hit with a transcript freeze. They requested SSA benefits form verification which I faxed 2 weeks ago. Still no movement or updates on transcript. Anyone know typical timeframe for them to process and remove these freezes?

Tax resolution specialist here. SSA verification freezes typically take 4-8 weeks to process after receiving documentation. The IRS is severely backlogged with these verification requests. Make sure you kept your fax confirmation as proof of submission. If no update after 8 weeks, call IRS and reference the fax date.

•omg 8 weeks?? 😫 this is ridiculous. do they even look at the faxes when they get them or just let them pile up?

•Unfortunately its just how backed up they are. They process them in order received, no exceptions unless you can prove financial hardship.

Hey! I actually went through this exact same thing recently. I started using taxr.ai to monitor my transcript (its only $1) and it helped me understand exactly what was happening. The AI told me precisely when the freeze would likely be lifted based on analyzing thousands of similar cases. Super helpful instead of just guessing! https://taxr.ai

•Is this legit? Sounds too good to be true tbh 🤔

•100% legit! It basically reads your transcript like a tax pro would but way faster and more precise. Shows you exactly whats causing delays and when to expect updates.

•Just tried it - holy cow this is amazing! Wish I knew about this months ago instead of checking WMR every 5 mins like a crazy person 😅

Pro tip: Fax it again every 2 weeks. Sometimes they loose things in their system and multiple submissions helps. Just make sure to keep ALL fax confirmations.
