Hey everyone, I need to change my address with the IRS and set up a payment plan. Has anyone gone through this process recently? Any tips or things I should watch out for? I'm a bit nervous about dealing with the IRS directly.

Finally seeing movement on transcript after months of blank screen! Waiting on 846 code

After months of checking WMR and transcripts with no info, I finally see movement! The bars are back and my transcript is showing activity. No 846 deposit date yet but at least something is happening. Been waiting since February and checking literally every day.

TaxSlayer E-File Delays 2024 - Anyone else stuck waiting?

I efiled through TaxSlayer on Feb 1st and my WMR bar is still stuck on received. Called the IRS and got nothing useful. Anyone else using TaxSlayer seeing super slow processing times this year? Starting to wonder if its just TaxSlayer or if everyone is dealing with this.

Not TaxSlayer but TurboTax here and still waiting since Jan 25th. System is broken af this year

I'm absolutely frustrated with my refund situation. My refund of $11,736 has been frozen since April 5th, 2024 with absolutely no movement. This breaks down as: RETURN DUE DATE OR RETURN RECEIVED DATE (WHICHEVER IS LATER) Apr. 15, 2024 PROCESSING DATE Apr. 29, 2024 TRANSACTIONS CODE EXPLANATION OF TRANSACTION CYCLE DATE AMOUNT 150 Tax return filed 20241505 04-29-2024 $959.00 76211-465-91571-4 806 W-2 or 1099 withholding 04-15-2024 -$3,359.00 810 Refund freeze 04-05-2024 $0.00 766 Credit to your account 04-15-2024 -$932.00 766 Credit to your account 04-16-2024 -$8,404.00 I called the IRS today and they literally hung up on me! According to my transcript, they filed my return on April 29th (cycle 20241505) and all my credits were applied on April 15th including my W-2 withholdings of $3,359, plus credits of $932 and $8,404. But there's this refund freeze code 810 from April 5th that's just sitting there with $0.00 amount. This is only my second year filing taxes and it's been a complete nightmare. I've tried reaching out to my tax preparer to see if we can amend something that might be causing the freeze, but they're completely ghosting me. The processing date shows April 29th, 2024, and the return due date is April 15th, 2024, but I'm still stuck in this horrible limbo. I don't understand why there's a freeze dated April 5th, which is before my processing date but after I submitted my return. I'm wondering if I should just give up on this year's refund and focus on doing 2024 properly... Has anyone else dealt with this freeze code 810 situation? I'm starting to lose hope on ever seeing this money. It's especially frustrating seeing all these transaction codes (150, 806, 810, 766) on my account transcript but no actual refund hitting my bank account.

Transcript freeze after sending SSA-1099 - how long for IRS to process?

Filed taxes for elderly parent and got hit with a transcript freeze. They requested SSA benefits form verification which I faxed 2 weeks ago. Still no movement or updates on transcript. Anyone know typical timeframe for them to process and remove these freezes?
