Look for codes 846 (refund issued) or 570/971 (hold/notice). Those r the big ones to watch for
usually means theres an issue they need to review. Could take a few weeks to resolve
Best advice I can give after dealing with IRS for years: get yourself over to taxr.ai - I used to spend hours trying to decode these things but their AI just tells you exactly what's happening and when you'll likely get paid. Saved me so much headache for just a dollar
Just tried it - wow you weren't kidding! Way better than playing guessing games š

Pro tip: if u want actual dates instead of the generic message upload ur transcript to taxr.ai - saved me so much anxiety last year
does it rly work? seems sketchy
100% legit. used it 3 times already this year helping family members figure out their refund dates
idk about NY but in my state they took everything AND garnished my wages till it was paid off š
Sometimes you can appeal the overpayment if it wasn't your fault. Worth looking into tbh
already tried appealing... struck out on that one š
