This is getting rediculous. They expect us to file on time but take forever to process smh
Anyone else notice the Where's My Refund site keeps crashing? NC needs to get it together fr
its been down like half the time i try to check š¤®
Pro tip: if you're setting up a payment plan, try to avoid using your credit card. The processing fees are insane. Direct debit from your bank account is usually the cheapest option.
Am I the only one who finds it ironic that we have to jump through all these hoops just to give the government our money? š¤ Like, shouldn't they make it easier for us to pay them?
Careful what you wish for. If they make it too easy, they might start taking it straight from our paychecks... oh wait š
Am I the only one who thinks its ridiculous that we have to jump through so many hoops just to give the government our money? š The system is broken af
Preach! š It's like they're trying to make it as difficult as possible.
Quick question - does anyone know if changing your address with the IRS affects your state taxes too, or do you need to do that separately?
You usually need to update your address with the state separately. Each state has its own process for this.
Have you checked if there were any errors on your return? Sometimes that can hold things up.
PSA: If you're really desperate for your refund, you can request a tax transcript. Sometimes it shows pending refunds before the Where's My Refund tool updates. Google 'IRS Get Transcript' for more info.
This is actually great advice! I did this last year and saw my refund was coming before the official tool updated. šÆ
