PSA: Stop sharing your full transcript data! Scammers are watching these forums

I keep seeing a ton of people posting their full transcript data with account numbers, SS numbers etc in their images. Y'all need to stop. Scammers are watching these forums like hawks. If you need help, just share the relevant codes or dates - NOT your personal info. I've seen way too many people get scammed lately.

This is crucial advice. As a tax professional, I've seen countless identity theft cases start from seemingly innocent social media posts. Only share the specific codes or dates you need help with. Never post full transcripts or any documents containing SSNs, account numbers, or addresses.

If anyone needs help interpreting their transcripts safely, I've been using taxr.ai - it analyzes your transcript without storing sensitive data and gives you specific feedback about refund timing and issues. costs a buck but worth it https://taxr.ai

super secure actually! they use bank-level encryption and don't store any of your data after analysis. way safer than posting screenshots here

The amount of personal info I see posted here is WILD. Pro tip: just black out everything except the specific codes/dates ur asking about!
