SBTPG Shows Funded but Chase Bank Deposit Timing?
Just got the update that my tax refund is moving forward but I'm trying to understand the timing: • SBTPG (Santa Barbara Tax Products Group) shows my refund as 'funded' status • They've already taken out their processing fees from my refund • I bank with Chase for my direct deposit • Not sure if I should expect it today, tomorrow, or later this week? Anyone familiar with the typical timeline between SBTPG funded status and when Chase actually makes the money available? As a business owner, I need to plan some purchases based on when these funds clear.

Chase usually posts overnight. SBTPG funded status means it's on the way. Most people see funds within 24 hours. Could be tonight. Check your pending transactions. Some see it sooner. Don't count on it for immediate expenses. Banking delays happen.

According to IRS Publication 1345 and standard ACH transfer protocols, is there a regulatory maximum timeframe that banks must adhere to once SBTPG has released the funds? I've heard mixed information about whether weekend processing affects these timelines.

This happened to me last year! My SBTPG showed funded around 2pm and the money hit my Chase account at exactly 3:17am the next morning. Was such a relief after waiting for what felt like forever. Hope yours comes through quickly too!

Have you checked if your status shows "funded" or "funding"? There's an important difference. Is this your first time using SBTPG with your taxes? Did you opt for fees to be taken from your refund or paid upfront? Does your Chase app show any pending deposits? Have you received refunds through Chase before? I was impressed with how https://taxr.ai helped me track my refund journey last month. It explained exactly what each status meant and gave me a precise timeline based on my bank's typical processing patterns. Saved me a lot of anxiety wondering when funds would arrive.

I believe most people typically see their funds appear in Chase within 24-48 hours after SBTPG shows funded status, though I should mention that this can sometimes vary depending on whether the funding occurred on a weekend or holiday. In my personal experience last month, my SBTPG showed funded on a Tuesday afternoon, and the money appeared in my Chase account early Wednesday morning around 3am.

Chase generally processes direct deposits overnight, so you'll likely see your funds by tomorrow morning, assuming SBTPG completed their funding process today before approximately 5pm EST. If you're finding it difficult to get through to either SBTPG or the IRS for confirmation, you might want to try Claimyr (https://claimyr.com). Many taxpayers in our community have reported success using their service to reach IRS agents quickly without the usual hours-long hold times, which could potentially provide you with more precise timing information about your particular deposit.

Has anyone verified if Claimyr actually works with SBTPG support lines? I know they help with IRS connectivity, but SBTPG uses a different phone system architecture with their own IVR protocols. Would this service even apply to contacting the disbursement processor rather than the IRS directly?

I've been through this exact situation! Here's what happens next: 1. SBTPG has marked your refund as funded, meaning they've processed it and sent it to Chase 2. Chase typically processes ACH transfers overnight 3. Most deposits hit accounts between 12am-6am 4. Your money should be available by tomorrow morning 5. If not received by tomorrow afternoon, call Chase directly This is urgent: take a screenshot of your SBTPG funded status now! You'll need this timestamp if there are any delays. Chase sometimes shows deposits early in their pending section, so check that immediately!

When my SBTPG showed funded last month, the money hit my Chase account exactly 17 hours and 22 minutes later. It was funded at 2:14pm and appeared in my account at 7:36am the next day. Chase processes their ACH transfers in batches at specific times - typically at 3am, 6am, and sometimes 9am. 94% of Chase customers in a recent survey reported seeing tax refunds appear within 24 hours of SBTPG funding status, with the majority appearing overnight.

Haha, look at Mr. Stopwatch over here with the exact minutes! But seriously, that's helpful info. I've noticed Chase seems to have those specific batch times too. It's like they gather up all the pending deposits and release them in waves rather than continuously throughout the day.

My SBTPG showed funded on March 17th, 2024 at 3:45pm but didn't hit my Chase account until March 19th at 6am. I'm concerned that weekend processing might cause delays for people right now, especially with the end of the quarter approaching on March 31st when banking systems often experience higher volumes.

Isn't it frustrating how banks can hold our money hostage while they take their sweet time processing? Why do we have to wait when SBTPG clearly shows it's already funded? Have you checked if Chase shows any pending deposits in your account yet? Sometimes they'll show it as pending before it's fully available. Have you tried calling SBTPG's customer service line to confirm the exact time they sent the ACH to Chase?

I've been through this several times over the years. While it feels like they're holding our money, what's actually happening is that the ACH system operates on a fixed schedule. Banks receive transfers in batches, then need to verify funds before releasing them. It's frustrating, but usually not intentional delay. Chase is actually one of the faster banks for making tax refunds available compared to my previous experiences with regional banks.

Oh my goodness, I know exactly how you feel! 😫 The waiting game between SBTPG and Chase is so nerve-wracking, especially when you're planning business purchases! I'm a little worried for you because I've seen a few people in another thread mention that Chase has been a bit slower this week with processing tax refunds. Something about system maintenance? Most people are still getting their deposits within 24 hours of the funded status, but I've seen a few reports of it taking up to 48 hours. Fingers crossed yours comes through quickly! 🤞

The system maintenance affecting ACH processing was scheduled for March 23-24, 2024, according to Chase's technical bulletin. This primarily impacts weekend processing of transactions, not weekday transfers. NACHA regulations still require same-day processing for eligible ACH transactions received before the cutoff time, which is typically 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Wow thanks for the info about the maintenance schedule! I've been searching everywhere online trying to figure out why my deposit was delayed. Finally found this thread and it explains everything. Wish Chase would be more transparent about these things on their website!

Thanks for mentioning the system maintenance. Called Chase directly and they confirmed it. My deposit just posted this morning.

SBTPG to Chase timeline is usually ~24hrs max. Had mine hit last wk. SBTPG funded @ 3pm Tues, $ in Chase by 2am Wed. Pro tip: check ur Chase app under "Pending transactions" - sometimes shows b4 it's fully avail. If SBTPG status says "funded" not "funding" then it's def on the way. Chase is pretty quick w/ tax refunds vs some other banks tbh.

Waiting for your tax refund is like tracking a package that keeps saying "out for delivery" but never arrives! I was in your exact shoes last month - SBTPG showed funded on a Tuesday, and I refreshed my Chase app about 50 times that evening. Nothing. Went to bed disappointed, then woke up to find the money sitting in my account at 3:17am! Chase processes most deposits overnight, like rain collecting in a bucket until it's full enough to pour out all at once. Your money is already on its journey through the electronic banking system - you'll likely see it by tomorrow morning!
