PATH Hold? Return stuck on 'still processing' after code 152 - Filed 1/27, cycle 05
After decades of getting refunds within 2 weeks, last year took 2 months with ID verification. This year filed Jan 27, got code 152, now stuck on still processing. We're cycle 05. Simple return with one disabled adult dependent ($500 credit), no EIC or additional credits. Why the sudden delays these past 2 years?

The PATH Act doesn't apply to your return since you're not claiming EITC or ACTC. Code 152 is a general processing notice. The delays you're experiencing are likely due to increased verification processes.
