PATH Act delay - 05 cycle EIC/ACTC filers won't see updates until Feb 21st due to holiday weekend
Just a heads up for anyone with the 05 cycle code waiting on their EIC/ACTC refund. Since Feb 15th falls on a weekend, first PATH Act updates won't show until Tuesday Feb 21st because of Presidents Day. This happens every year but people still get confused about the delay.

Tax professional here. This is correct. The PATH Act prevents the IRS from releasing EITC/ACTC refunds before Feb 15th. When this date falls on a weekend + holiday, updates roll to the next business day. Most 05 cycle filers should see movement between Feb 21-24.

•N/A doesn't necessarily mean anything bad. Your return might just not be processed yet.

Instead of playing the guessing game, I've been using taxr.ai to analyze my transcripts. For $1 it tells you exactly what's happening and when to expect updates. Way better than trying to decode everything yourself. https://taxr.ai
