Need help getting my refund check - IRS keeps giving me the runaround
I filed my taxes months ago and my transcript shows my refund was processed but I still havent got my check in the mail. Called the IRS like 10 times and keep getting different answers. Some say they mailed it others say there's no record. What number can I actually call to get a real answer? Starting to think my check got lost in the mail or something.

First step is to verify if the check was actually issued by checking your transcript. If it shows as issued but you haven't received it after 4 weeks, you need to call 800-829-1954 to initiate a trace. Have your tax return info ready. They might need to verify your identity and reissue the check which can take another 6-8 weeks.
