How long does IRS refund review process take? Still waiting after 2 months
Filed my taxes 2 months ago and my Where's My Refund tool still says processing. Called the IRS multiple times but cant get through to anyone. Anyone know typical timeframes for review? Starting to get worried since I need this money for bills.

The standard processing time is 21 days for e-filed returns, but there are many factors that can extend this. If you claimed EITC or CTC, have any math errors, or identity verification issues, it can take 4-6 months. Without seeing your transcript its impossible to know exactly whats causing the delay.

You can get it online at irs.gov/transcripts or by mail. But honestly transcripts can be confusing to read if youre not familiar with them
