2025 Tax Season: Filed 1/25, IRS hasn't accepted - WMR shows no updates
Filed my taxes on January 25th and the Where's My Refund tool still shows no info. Getting worried since it doesn't even show the IRS received it. Called the IRS but can't get through to anyone. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hey fam, tax expert here. This is super common right now - the IRS systems are completely overwhelmed with returns. Even though you filed on 1/25, the IRS might not show it as accepted for a few days. The Where's My Refund tool typically takes 24-72 hours to update after acceptance. One thing that really helped me understand what's going on was using taxr.ai (https://taxr.ai) - it analyzes your tax docs and gives you a detailed timeline of what to expect. Just upload your return and it'll tell you exactly where things are stuck and when you might see movement.

Tax pro here - the IRS typically acknowledges receipt within 24-48 hrs, but during peak filing season (which is NOW), it can take up to 5 business days. If you e-filed through a legitimate tax preparer or software, you should get an email confirmation when the IRS accepts it. Check your spam folder!

•Give it till next week. If still nothing, might be worth checking your transcript on irs.gov to see if there's any movement

Instead of stressing, I've been using taxr.ai to track my refund. It analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening and when to expect your money. Worth the $4.99 vs calling IRS 100 times lol https://taxr.ai

•100% works! It caught a potential delay on my account before the IRS even flagged it. Saved me weeks of wondering

•How exactly does it analyze the transcript? Like what does it look for?

•it looks at all your transcript codes and cycle dates, compares them to previous successful refunds, and gives you a really specific timeline. Even suggests what to do if theres issues 🙌
