Maryland Refund Status Finally Updated - What I Learned
Just wanted to let everyone know that Maryland state refunds are finally moving! I filed in February and my WMR just updated today. The cycle seems to be processing returns filed before March 1st. If you're still waiting, check your status now because they're definitely working through the backlog.

Yes! The MD comptroller's office confirmed they're processing a large batch of returns right now. They're prioritizing returns filed before March 1st, especially those with simple returns (no amendments or corrections needed). If you filed after March 1st, expect another 6-8 weeks for processing.

Thanks for the update! I'm a Maryland filer from late February and was getting worried. Just checked WMR after seeing this and mine finally shows "processing" instead of just "received". Looks like they really are working through that backlog systematically. Fingers crossed it moves to approved soon! 🤞
