Letter 86C - Inquiry sent to Ogden Refund Unit - Good or Bad news?
Just received letter 86c stating my phone inquiry from June was forwarded to the Ogden Refund Inquiry unit. Anyone know if this is progress or just more waiting? Getting anxious since its been months now.

Called IRS today about this exact thing. They said its mandatory to respond to inquiries within 30 days but that doesnt mean theyll actually process anything in that time frame...classic govt efficiency 🙄
