Been waiting forever on my refund with zero movement since early March. Just checked my transcript and noticed an update for the first time in 2 months. Starting to get hopeful but also nervous. Can anyone tell me if this means I'm getting closer to seeing my refund? But now I see codes 971 and 977 from mid-May showing an amended return was filed and is being processed. This is the first update I've had in months! I'm confused because I don't remember filing an amended return. Does this mean they're finally working on my refund? Why does it show "No tax return filed" but then show these transaction codes? And does the "ACCOUNT BALANCE: 0.00" mean I'm not getting anything back? I'm really counting on this refund and getting desperate after waiting since March with this freeze. Anyone familiar with these transcript codes who can tell me what's happening and when I might expect movement?
