846 Code Appeared: $14,708 Tax Refund Issued 5/22 After 570 Hold Since February Filing
Just checked my transcript and noticed code 846 Refund issued showed up today (05-22-2023) for $15,708.18. Been waiting since February when I filed. My tax return was finally processed on 03-20-2023 according to my transcript, even though I filed in February. I had wage income of $57,983.00 but also had a business loss of $-16,091.00 on Schedule C. I'm confused because I had the 570 code (Additional account action pending) from March 20th, then a 971 (Notice issued) on March 27th. Then finally on June 6th I got code 571 (Resolved additional account action). Does this 846 code actually mean my refund is on the way? Anyone else get this code and actually receive their money? I've been waiting so long and just want to make sure this means it's finally coming.

I had a similar situation last year with a 570 hold that lasted months, but once I saw that 846 code the money hit my account within 3 business days. The fact that you also got the 571 code (resolved additional account action) means whatever was holding up your return has been cleared. With Chase you should see it by Friday at the latest! 🎉
