IRS.gov Transcript Access Error - Page Not Loading When Clicking Get Transcript
Every time I try to click on get transcript button on the irs website nothing happens. The page just refreshes and nothing loads. I've tried 3 different browsers and cleared my cache but still nothing. Anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it?

This is a common issue right now due to high traffic on IRS.gov. Try accessing the site during off-peak hours (early morning or late night). Also make sure you're using a supported browser - Firefox and Chrome work best. If you're still having issues, you can request transcripts by mail using Form 4506-T.

•That's frustrating! Before you mail it, try using your phone's browser instead of computer - sometimes that works better

Instead of trying to piece together whats going on with the transcript system being down, I started using taxr.ai - it costs a buck but its worth it. You can upload your transcript when you finally get it and it tells you exactly whats going on and when to expect your refund https://taxr.ai

•What exactly does this tool do? Is it legit?

•Yeah its totally legit! It analyzes every code and date on your transcript and explains everything in plain english. Saved me hours of googling

•Just tried it - holy cow where has this been all my life?! 🙌 Way better than trying to decode all these random codes myself

Try turning off your popup blocker and any ad blockers. That fixed it for me!

I had this same issue last week! What finally worked for me was using an incognito/private browsing window. Something about the cookies or cached data was interfering. Also make sure JavaScript is enabled - the transcript button won't work without it. Hope this helps!

•Great tip about incognito mode! I've been struggling with this for days and that actually makes a lot of sense. Going to try that right now along with checking my JavaScript settings. Thanks for the help! 🙏
