IRS claims I have Tax Advocate but never heard from them - anyone else?
I finally got through to the Tax Advocate Service hotline today after trying for weeks. The rep told me I already have an advocate assigned to my case? This is the first I'm hearing about this and I never received any communication. Has anyone else experienced this? Been waiting on my refund for months now and getting really frustrated with the lack of communication.

This happens more often than you'd think. The IRS internal systems sometimes show advocate assignments that haven't been properly communicated to taxpayers. Best thing to do is ask for your advocate's direct contact info and case number next time you call.
