Tax Advocate ghosting me on amended return - TAS not responding to calls
Filed an amended return and it shows processed but still no refund in sight. My tax advocate never picks up the phone and I cant even call IRS directly because everything has to go through the advocate. Even reached out to my congressman but barely get any response to my emails. Just wanted to warn everyone - stick with TurboTax or Tax Act or HR Block. These independent tax preparers just want their cut and ghost you once they get paid.

Tax Advocate Service is completely overwhelmed rn. They're handling like 5x the normal cases with half the staff they had pre-covid. Not making excuses but thats why everything is moving at a snails pace. Best thing you can do is keep detailed records of all contact attempts and continue following up weekly.
