ID Verify appointment - IRS asked about Schedule C - what is this?
Had my verification appointment today and the agent kept asking me about a Schedule C. I have no idea what that means or why they're asking about it. Anyone know what this is about?

Schedule C is for reporting self-employment income. If they're asking about it, they probably see some 1099 income reported under your SSN. Did you do any freelance work, gig work like Uber/DoorDash, or sell anything online in that tax year?

Yep thats it! You'll need to report that income on Schedule C. Might want to file an amended return if you didnt include it

Quick tip: Schedule C is basicly anything you earned outside of a regular W2 job. Even if u made like $100 selling stuff online, technically ur supposed to report it 🤷♂️

When you go back bring any 1099s you got. Also ur bank statements showing deposits from gig work or online sales might help
