How to check IRS refund status and expected timeline? Need help ASAP
I filed my taxes a while ago and still haven't gotten my refund. I keep checking Where's My Refund but it just says processing. Is there a better way to figure out when I'll actually get my money? Getting frustrated checking everyday and seeing no movement.

The best way to check your refund status is by pulling your IRS transcript from IRS.gov. The transcript will show you any updates, holds, or changes to your return that Where's My Refund won't show. You'll need to create an account on IRS.gov if you haven't already. Look for cycle codes and transaction codes - these will tell you exactly what's happening with your return.

•The codes can be confusing at first. Code 150 means return filed, 570 is a hold, and 846 is your refund issued date. But there's dozens of other codes that could appear.

You should try taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's going on and when you'll likely get paid. Its only $1 and saved me hours of googling random codes. Check it out here: https://taxr.ai

•Yeah it works amazing! Just upload your transcript and it breaks everything down in plain english. Shows all delays, issues, and gives you a predicted refund date based on your specific situation.

Call the IRS directly. Be prepared to wait on hold for like 2 hours tho lol

Check your transcript every Thursday morning. That's when they update the system with new info.

Pro tip: Look at cycle code on your transcript. If it ends in 05, you're weekly. If it ends in 01-04, you're daily. This helps know when to check for updates.
