Help decode 971/977 transcript codes - Anyone know what these codes mean?
Just checked my transcripts and noticed codes 971 and 977 got added this week. Anyone know what these mean? Getting kinda worried since my return has been processing for 3 months now. Really need this money for bills.

Tax pro here - 971 means a notice has been sent to you, and 977 means they're correcting something on your return. Usually not a big deal, but you'll want to watch your mail for that notice to see what they're adjusting.

Check your mail like every day. I missed my notice and it delayed everything by another month smh
