Filed 1/31 - State refund received but IRS shows return not processed yet

Filed my taxes on January 31st and just got my state refund deposited yesterday. But when I check the IRS website it still shows my federal return hasnt even been processed yet. The WMR tool just says 'still processing' and my transcript shows N/A for 2023. Anyone else experiencing this? Starting to get worried since its been over a month.

This is actually pretty normal for this time of year. The IRS processes returns in batches, and state processing is completely separate from federal. The N/A transcript means they haven't started processing yet. Most returns take 21 days, but many are taking longer this year due to additional verification steps.

Could be another 2-3 weeks, but without seeing your transcript its hard to say for sure
