2023 Return Still Shows N/A on Transcript - No Updates Since 3/21 Filing
Filed my taxes on March 21st and my transcript is still showing N/A for 2023. WMR tool doesn't show any progress either. Starting to get worried since my friend who filed after me already got their refund. Anyone else stuck in this limbo?

This is actually pretty common right now. The N/A status usually means your return hasn't been processed into the system yet. The IRS is experiencing significant delays, especially with paper returns. Even e-filed returns are taking longer than usual. Keep checking your transcript weekly rather than daily - updates typically happen on Fridays.

•It can take anywhere from 2-12 weeks these days. The IRS is still catching up from the pandemic backlog tbh

Pro tip: Set up alerts on your transcript page so you don't have to keep checking manually. Sometimes they update middle of the week too, not just Fridays.
