Filed 1/27 with dependents - No transcript updates or state refund yet. Anyone else?
Filed my taxes on January 27th. Got acceptance notifications for both federal and state returns. Claimed 3 dependents but still no movement on my transcript or state refund. Starting to get worried since bills are piling up. Anyone else file around the same time and seeing any updates?

Tax expert here. The IRS is currently processing returns with dependents more thoroughly due to the expanded Child Tax Credit verification process. This typically adds 2-3 weeks to processing time. Your patience is completely normal for this filing season.

•Nah its legit! It showed me I had a verification hold I didnt even know about and gave me the exact steps to fix it. Got my refund 2 weeks later

Check your transcripts for cycle code 20240705. If you have that your looking at early March deposit date according to the processing schedule.

•its on your account transcript about halfway down. look for a string of numbers that starts with 2024
