Filed 1/27, No Return Found on Transcript + ID Verify Required - No Letter Yet
Filed my return on 1/27 and transcripts showing no record of return filed. Got popup saying I need to verify my identity even though I used my taxpayer PIN. WMR status stuck on still processing. Called IRS and rep said I have to wait for verification letter (nothing showing in transcript). They said wait 21 days from 2/3. Anyone else dealing with this?

This is a common verification process this year. The IRS is being extra cautious with identity verification. Even with a PIN, they sometimes need additional verification. You'll need to wait for that letter - there's no way around it. Keep checking your mailbox and don't throw away any IRS mail.

Yeah the rules keep changing. Last year was different - they're much stricter now about needing the letter first
