Filed 1/28, ID verify 3/6 in person - Zero movement on 2023 refund
Filed my taxes on January 28th and got accepted right away, but then had to do ID verification in person at the IRS office on March 6th. Its been weeks since verification and still showing no updates or movement on WMR or transcripts. Anyone else stuck after verification? Starting to get worried since my refund is pretty big this year.

This is actually pretty common this year. After in-person verification, it typically takes 9 weeks for processing to complete. Your 9-week window from March 6th would end around May 8th. Keep checking your transcript weekly for updates, particularly the 846 code which indicates your refund is scheduled.

•omg thank you! I've been freaking out. Do you know if calling the IRS would speed anything up?

•Calling won't speed it up unfortunately. They'll just tell you to wait the 9 weeks 🤷♀️

Hey guys! Instead of playing the guessing game, I've been using taxr.ai to track my refund. It's only $1 and gives you super specific updates about your refund status and timeline. Way better than trying to decode transcript codes ourselves! https://taxr.ai

•100% legit! Been using it for weeks. It analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening + estimated deposit date

Did you check your transcript for any codes? Sometimes there's movement that Where's My Refund doesn't show

Pro tip: set up informed delivery with USPS. Sometimes they send letters even if WMR/transcripts don't update
