Cycle Code changed from 05 to 03 this year - What does this mean for early deposit?
I've gotten my refund on cycle 05 for years now, always hitting my account between Feb 22-24. This year I noticed I'm on cycle 03 instead. Anyone know what this means for my refund timing? Been using TurboTax's 5 days early feature but wondering if that even matters now.

The cycle code (03 vs 05) indicates which day of the week the IRS processes your account updates. 03 cycles process on Wednesdays, while 05 cycles process on Thursdays. This doesn't necessarily mean a delay - you might actually get it faster. The TurboTax 5-day early feature works with any cycle code since it's just them fronting your money before the IRS release.
