What does Cycle Code 03 mean on IRS transcript? Anyone know if this is good or bad?

Tax expert here. Cycle code 03 means your return is processed on Wednesdays. The first 2 digits (20xx) represent the year, and the last 2 digits represent the week of the year. This code doesn't indicate approval or denial - it's just when the IRS computer processes your return batch.

Cycle codes are only part of the picture. You need to look at the entire transcript - processing date, as of date, codes etc to know whats really going on

Check for any 570/971 codes those usually mean theres a hold up

Cycle 03 just means Wednesday processing - nothing to worry about! I was cycle 03 too and got my refund after about 5 weeks. The key is checking your transcript for any freeze codes or holds.
