Transcript Cycle Code Changed from 05 to 02 - What Does This Mean?
I've been checking my transcript and noticed my cycle code suddenly changed from 05 to 02. Not sure if this is good news or what. Can someone help me understand what the cycle and as of dates mean for my refund?

The cycle code change from 05 to 02 actually indicates your return has moved to a different processing department. 05 is typically for regular processing while 02 can mean manual review or identity verification. Check your account for any notices or letters requesting additional information.

•It varies, could be 2-12 weeks depending on the specific issue they're reviewing

Hey, instead of trying to decode these cryptic numbers yourself, you should try taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening and when to expect your refund. Its only $1 and WAY better than playing detective with cycle codes lol https://taxr.ai
