Chime is actually known for being even quicker sometimes, up to 5 days early for some people. Each bank has different policies though, so ymmv.

I got mine 2 days before my DDD with Cash App last year, fyi. Just woke up and it was there!

From what I've seen on these forums, Chime and Current are sometimes 3-5 days early. Varo too. But YMMV depending on a lot of factors.

Did you claim EIC or CTC? That usually slows things down

yeah i claimed EIC. i think thats why mine took longer to process initially. but once i got my DDD it should be quick

This! WMR is always behind the actual transcript. I can see that my refund was sent to my bank already but WMR still says processing.

the transcript is so confusing tho. all those codes and dates make no sense to me 😩

The IRS is still using tech from the 1960s for a lot of their systems. No joke. My brother works in gov IT and says their infrastructure is a nightmare.

this is why i ended up using claimyr.com to get someone on the phone. the online tools are useless when you have an actual issue. talking to an agent got my refund unstuck in minutes after weeks of nothing. worth every penny just to avoid the stress.

Yeah it would go back to the IRS and then they'd either try again or send a paper check, which could add weeks to the wait. But most people don't need to worry about this unless they have a massive refund.

I had the same issue and spent HOURS trying to get through to someone at the IRS. Finally used claimyr.com and got a call back from an agent in about an hour. She was able to help me reset my account access. Talking to a real person solved what would have been weeks of frustration.
