Can I use PayPal for IRS direct deposit after closing old bank account?

I had to close my old bank account that I used for tax refunds the past 2 years. Now I can't get into my old email to access my account info. Can I use PayPal for my refund deposit this year instead of a regular bank account?

Yes, you can use PayPal for your tax refund but you need to use the routing and account numbers from your PayPal direct deposit account (not just your PayPal email). Make sure its the correct numbers from your PayPal Cash Plus account, not your regular PayPal balance.

Go to your PayPal wallet, click 'Direct Deposit' and you'll see both numbers there. Just make sure you've verified your identity first!

dont do paypal fam. my refund got rejected last year cause the routing number wasnt right. just get a regular bank account its way easier

Check if you can get into ur old email first. Sometimes u can recover it thru customer service
