Blank 2023 Transcript - No Updates - Do We Need ID Verify by Friday?
Filed my taxes 3 weeks ago and my transcript is completely blank. No processing date, no codes, nothing. Seeing mixed info about whether blank transcripts mean automatic ID verify is needed. Anyone know if we should wait for Friday update or just go ahead and verify now? Really need this refund soon.

Tax specialist here - blank transcripts don't automatically mean ID verification is needed. The IRS system takes 21 days minimum to fully process returns. Many transcripts stay blank during initial processing. Wait until the 21-day mark before taking any action. Only verify if you receive an official notice or your WMR tool specifically tells you to verify identity.
