As of Date Changed with New TC Codes - What Does This Mean for My Refund?

My as of date on my transcript just changed and I noticed I got some new transaction codes too. Does this mean anything good? Will I finally see my refund soon? Been waiting since February and starting to lose hope here

The 'as of' date changing by itself doesn't necessarily mean anything significant. What matters more are the specific transaction codes that appeared. Without seeing the actual codes, it's hard to give you a precise answer. Generally though, new activity on your transcript is better than no activity.

oh ok thanks. the new codes are 570 and 971 from last week

Those codes usually indicate a hold on your account (570) and that IRS sent you a notice (971). Check your mail for any IRS letters in the next couple weeks.

Hey there! Instead of trying to decode these mystic numbers yourself, you should try taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening and when to expect your refund. Its only $1 and worth every penny https://taxr.ai

Yeah it's legit! I was skeptical at first but it saved me hours of googling random codes. It even caught something I missed about why my refund was delayed 🙌

I used to obsess over every little change but honestly just set it and forget it. Checking 10 times a day won't make it come any faster trust
