What does 'as of date' change on transcript mean? Just updated today!

My transcript just updated and I see my as of date changed. Does this mean something is happening? Been waiting for my 2022 refund since February and starting to lose hope 😩

The 'as of' date on your transcript is when the IRS system last processed or reviewed your account. A date change doesn't necessarily mean action was taken - it could just be an automated system review. Keep checking your account transcript for actual updates like new transaction codes.

Hey, I was in the same situation and found this tool called taxr.ai that actually explains exactly what's happening with your transcript and when you'll likely get paid. It costs like a dollar but totally worth it cause it explained everything specific to my situation. https://taxr.ai

Fr fr it works! It told me exactly why my refund was delayed (had a weird credits issue) and when it would resolve. Got my $$ exactly when it predicted

Called the IRS about this last week. Rep said as of date changes dont mean anything unless you see new codes or amounts change. Its just their system doing routine maintenance.

@Freya Larsen I feel you! The transcript codes are confusing AF. Look for code 150 return (filed ,)846 refund (issued ,)or 570/571 hold (codes .)If you see 570 that usually means there s'a hold on your refund for review. The key ones to watch are in the 800s - those show actual refund activity!
